Thirty miles, planned around traffic
From Lake Forest, our limo service to O'Hare usually goes south on the Tri-State Tollway (I-94, then I-294), which runs right to the airport. It is about 30 miles, so good timing matters more than the distance.
- 1Tri-State south. We get on the tollway near Townline Road (Route 60) and stay on the Tri-State to O'Hare.
- 2Backup roads. When the tollway backs up, we switch to the Edens (I-94) and the Kennedy (I-90), or Waukegan Road.
- 3About the train. Lake Forest has two Metra stations, on the Union Pacific North and Milwaukee District North lines. Both go downtown, not to O'Hare.
